Bill Thurber, Vice President of Finance of Definition 6, brings
30 years of broad experience in accounting and corporate financial
management to the company, and during his career he has held senior
financial roles in the manufacturing, distribution, services and
technology industry segments. In his role at Definition 6, Thurber
oversees the company's finance and accounting functions, including
day-to-day accounting and financial management, treasury and cash
flow management, financial reporting, planning and budgeting, and
other administrative and operational matters.
Thurber joined Definition 6 from Tatum, LLC, an Atlanta based
executive services consulting firm, where he served as a consulting
director in Tatum's accounting and financial services practice,
working with publicly traded and private equity owned clients.
During his tenure at Tatum, he served as interim Chief Financial
Officer for a $30 million private equity owned manufacturer of
intermediate bulk container systems, and also served as Tatum's
treasurer.
Prior to Tatum, LLC, Thurber served as Chief Financial Officer
for MTI Whirlpools, Inc., a privately held $25 million manufacturer
of designer bath and kitchen products, where he led the finance and
accounting function and was responsible for all administrative
aspects of the company.
Thurber received an MBA degree with cum laude honors in
Corporate Finance from Hofstra University where he was inducted
into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. He also received a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with magna cum laude
honors from New York Institute of Technology.
Thurber lives in the Atlanta area with his wife of 35 years, and
when not focusing on his role at Definition 6 is likely to be found
on the golf course.
