Definition 6 Launches Timeline Movie Maker, A Personalized Cinematic Video Experience For Facebook Timeline
Facebook Timeline users' top life events highlighted in
customized shareable mini movies
NEW YORK, January 30, 2012 - Definition 6, a
unified marketing agency, today announced Timeline Movie Maker,
a product that allows people with Facebook Timeline to see their
content through a customized cinematic experience. With one-click
curation, people can choose to create a highlight reel of their
lives in a one minute video.

Timeline Movie Maker evaluates the person's content shared with
the public and with friends, and then identifies the most engaging,
relevant content and life moments to build a chronological story
for their customized mini-movie.
"Timeline is about sharing the key moments of your life with
your friends and family. Timeline Movie Maker is evaluating highly
engaged content in a chronological fashion, choreographing a user's
personal journey on Facebook, with content that has the most
engagement and uses comment analysis to identify key life moments
and where the user is tagged," says Paul Hernacki, Chief Technology
Officer at Definition 6. "The result is a powerful example of how
the synergy between technology and marketing is crucial in driving
complex projects like this to life, ultimately evoking an emotional
connection from the end user."
"For consumers, Facebook is more than just a platform - it has
truly become an integral part of our everyday lives. In order
for Timeline Movie Maker to resonate with people we knew we had to
do something special to create a unique and personal experience for
each person to feel good about. We had to literally create a
product that will become the soundtrack to their lives," Chris
Thornton, Chief Marketing Officer, Definition 6. "Creating
emotional connections between brands and consumers is the heart of
what we do at Definition 6 - it's at the core of our unified
marketing strategy."
Timeline Movie Maker will be initially available in four
languages including English, French, Spanish and German and will
allow for five different music soundtracks from which people can
choose to create their mini movie. People can also customize their
music selection, images, videos or check-ins at the end of the
first automated video view to truly see their personalized Facebook
story unfold before their eyes.

NEW YORK, January 5, 2012 - Definition 6, a unified marketing agency,
today announced it has hired Maribeth Phillips as Executive
Producer and John Sexton as iCD, Interactive Creative Director, in
the NYC office. In this role, Phillips will manage all
projects within the branding and design group in collaboration with
the newly hired Creative Director, Bob English. Phillips brings over 20
years of experience to the agency in branding, production and
design, for multi-disciplinary, multi-platform projects.
Sexton, reporting directly to ECD John Harne, joins Doug Dimon's team and will work on all
interactive projects including web, social media, mobile, live
events and more. Sexton has over 15 years' experience
creating immersive, memorable interactive products for a wide range
of consumer brands.
Phillips will be tasked with onboarding new clients, supervising
all design projects and ideation initiatives for new work.
The addition of this role to the team supports the agency's
strategic approach to grow its branding and design group into a
fully managed creative entity within the organization.
Phillips comes to Definition 6 from production and design studio,
Imaginary Forces, where, in the role of Managing Director/Executive
Producer in the New York office, she led television commercial
production, broadcast design, feature film titles, experience
design and interactive work. Collaborating with five
directors/creative directors, Phillips supervised projects for
clients such as Time Warner Cable, Discovery, HBO, CBS, Smirnoff,

supervised main title projects for feature films including
Charlotte's Web, The Mummy 3, Definitely Maybe and We Are Marshall,
and show packaging for the television series Madmen (2008 Emmy
winner), Chuck, and Gossip Girl for its NYC office. Prior to
this, Phillips held the same position at design /visual effects
company Spontaneous, and was responsible for managing the company
and supervising all production.
Previously, Phillips partnered with Creative Director Bob English
to successfully build the banding and design group at pioneering
entertainment company Lee Hunt Associates, which merged with
Razorfish in 1999. As Executive Director of Production for
the media and entertainment/brand identity group at LHA/RF,
Phillips was responsible for the production supervision of
broadcast design and cross-platform rebranding projects, for
major entertainment networks in the U.S. and internationally.
There, Phillips worked with brands including PBS, PBS Kids, Disney,
Fox, CBC, Arte and ZDF.
Prior to joining Definition 6, John Sexton spent the last year
contracting for a number of agencies where he helped strategize and
create interactive creative products for Nissan, Duncan Hines,
FedEx, Chase and Kodak. Prior to that, Sexton worked as the VP
Interactive Creative Director at Grey Healthcare Group and VP
Associate Creative Director at Saatchi and Saatchi Wellness. Sexton
combines strategic thinking, creative conceptualization and design
with a deep understanding of motion graphics, technology, and user
experience that allowed him to execute highly successful campaigns
for top brands like Allegra, Frontline, HBO, Metamucil and Sony
Vaio.
"With John's creative vision for brand work and Maribeth's
impressive expertise in production, broadcast design and motion
graphics, Definition 6 has significantly advanced our strength and
