Definition 6 Expands Motion Design Capabilities
Definition 6, an integrated interactive agency, today announced
it has significantly expanded its motion design capabilities.
The agency has hired motion design veteran Jim Read to lead its
motion design operations out of New York. Read previously served in
creative roles at EyeballNYC, MTV Networks and Trailer Park.
While motion design is not a new service offering for Definition
6, the agency has dedicated significant resources towards the build
out of its operations in New York to support an increased demand it
is seeing for motion design work. The agency's investment in
additional resources and talent expands its ability to concept and
execute motion design work.
"The acquisition of Creative Bubble last summer provided a solid
foundation for us to build off of in terms of equipment and talent
in New York," said Michael Kogon, CEO of Definition 6.
"With the hiring of Jim Read, we are looking to aggressively scale
our motion design operations, further extending the investments
we've made across our production and post-production
operations."
Jim Read has been a leading innovator in motion design for the
past decade, having worked for some of the best-known motion design
boutiques and internal creative departments. Jim's client
experience includes work with CMT, Showtime, HBO, Warner Bros.
Pictures and Disney.
"We're charting new territory with our expanded motion design
operations," said Jim Read, Creative Director.
"We're building the motion design operation I wish I had as a
client - one just as capable of developing killer creative as they
are executing the concept. We bring clients everything they love
about working with creative boutiques, with the resources of a
quickly expanding national agency."
Jim also recently worked as a Creative Director for Cirque du
Soleil's new Viva Elvis production in Las Vegas. Working with the
director of screen content and production, Read developed most of
the visuals that run in the video screens during the
performance.
Definition 6 is officially unveiling its expanded motion design
capabilities at the PromaxBDA conference starting tomorrow in Los
